what are you compiling the pdf for exactly?
 
A bit more info on why you have compiled it, where its likely to be published or issued and some other relevant info about you and your experience on the subject matter might just garner a bit more interest.

I for one look forward to reading more on the matter.

The idea is to concentrate the info and share it.
Thought people might find it useful. I enjoyed compiling it!

As to my experience, I have owned my RR 1975 for 12 years.
I go off-road / off-asphalt fairly regularly. Do not look for mud, just find it in my way sometimes.
 
bit of apointless exercise if you ask me.

youved compiled information already available on the net so assuming that anyone has access to it

your compilation may only have sections that appeal to certain people,so 90% of it could be useless to one person and not another,so said individuals could just cherry pick from tinterweb themselves

im still struggleing to work out how/what/why you felt there was a need for this?

After reading though it I think yu have done a good job or bringing several different sources together into one source but.....

I have to teach this to our drivers at work and unfortunately you have made the same mistake as everyone else. You have made the weight and resistance calculations look more complicated than they are while forgetting to mention the extra load applied by the vacuum effect of mud, additional weight factor of a vehicle filled with water and the yaw factor associated with uneven terrain or one or more locked up wheels.

I have found the web to be a bit of a haystack.
Thought I'd share the needles I had found.

To be honest I think that you would be wasting your time doing by it. Very few people actually refer to the chart when carrying out a recovery. You may be better off teaching people how to make the best out of the situation they are in. (how to position their vehicle, how to pin it in place etc).

Understanding the yaw factor will also go a long way to how a vehicle is positioned or set up to be recovered.

Add what? :confused: A whole bunch of unknown variables?

Force reqd to recover 1800 rolling kgs half submerged in semi-liquid chalky loam = exactly 1 WLM :D:D;)

I'm not trying to shoot you down in flames but the above dilema is exactly what I'm talking about.....

how much force would you require to a) get the stricken vehicle moving initially b) then keep it moving c) keep the recovering vehicle from moving during the recovery.
