Looks like a great site I'd love to pay a visit sometime. One query I have is why do most venues like this insist that drivers have a full licence. I'd love to take my 15 year old son to a pay and play day but they wouldn't let him drive. He's more than competent in a Land Rover off road but no point going if he can only be a passenger

Did i read a different site???/ i thought it said 14 and no licence required??a as for the majority... well it was a young teen at coney who caused the death of the qualified driver earlier this year... Im sure insurance and liability is a minefield in this area

On the pay and play page it says driving licence required so a minimum age of 17 to drive. I've seen similar with other stes too. Spose it must be something to do with insurance but with a 5mph site speed limit how much harm could a supervised but unlicenced driver do?

Kill the superviser I suppose, Coney was a very low speed tip over and a very unlucky outcome, more a freak accident

As a treat for passing my driving test (last year at the ripe old age of 40) some friends of mine paid for me to have a go at a 4x4 place in Cumbria. It was the one thing that kept me doing lessons, knowing that I'd be off-roading as soon as I passed my test.

Then the guy there didn't bother checking my nice shiny new license!

And then the vehicle was a Santana, about which a landy-enthusiast friend of mine said "that's like drinking blended whisky". Pah. Anyway, it was experience with leaf springs for when I go get my SIII on Saturday!
