Hi

I'd like to go on the Land Rover experience day, run by my local Land Rover Experience Centre, in my own vehicle (accompanied by an instructor from the centre).

My standard insurance doesn't cover for off-roading and I've struggled to find a company which will provide short-term off-road cover.

Has anyone managed to find such cover in the past? Land Rover's own insurance does cover it, but it is much more expensive than what I am paying just now, and I'd incur a cancelaltion charge from my own insurer.

Any thoughts?

Could you not just use one of their vehicles and save a load of hassle

Yes - but at a cost of £400.....

I had the same problem. Rang my insurance company and explained that I would be at land rover experience with instructor. The call taker checked with risk assessor and told me I would be ok and that they would cover me as it could be said to be off road training. Might be worth a try.
