I wondered if anyone had any ideas/ fixes for this?

Everything has been fine, then yesterday I noticed that the passenger door wasn't opening when I used the fob (one click for driver's door, 2 clicks for everything else, previously). The rear door still opens ok.

I can open the passenger door from the inside using the handle and it-along with the other doors- locks ok using the fob. Just that it won't open! I'd have assumed that it would either work with the fob (both opening and closing) or not at all. Same issue with the spare fob too.

Any ideas/ assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Do all the doors open with console button and lock. Handle work direct console works off the ccu. Fob key works off the RF signal so if all the doors work okay all round except one, then it may have failed on the door RF signal.

try unlocking using the key in the door if it opens would rule out a solenoid problem
Must admit since I had my driver door lock replaced and mechanism I use the keys more than the fob. Since I found out what bust the lock a land rover worst design award wouldnt go amiss.

Hi, thanks for the quick replies. No, the console switch/ key in the door doesn't lock or unlock the passenger door. I can only open it using the (inside) handle.

Sounds like the passenger door solenoid is failed. Comes complete with lock assembly. I have replaced several of these now - bit fiddly but possible if you can use small tools and have small fingers !!! Around £50 on ebay inc LR items with warrentee.
