Hi,
I'm after a reasonably priced diagnostic tool for my 02 disco td5. Was going for the icarsoft lr 2.0 but heard its Sh**e?? Any other recommendations much appreciated

I use a Hawkeye Total myself, but the Foxwell NT530 is much cheaper and others have found it to work well. A search will reveal a LOT of discussion.

They stopped making the Hawkeye some years ago. The only way to get one is to buy second hand. The original version was licensed for specific vehicles. Depends on what license the owner bought. The hawkeye total is licensed for all vehicles it covers. Can't remember what the licensing for the hawkeye pro was, at the moment. They appear on ebay occasionally.

If you are looking for an affordable and available alternative, take a look at the Foxwell NT530 with the Jaguar Land Rover software. It handles live data far better than my Hawkeye Total and covers pretty much all JLR models.

Does the foxwell go into the rear air suspension and anti roll bar systems please?

Does anyone know where I can find more information on exactly what is supported by the Foxwell NT530? I've looked all over but it all seems very vague. For example how many maintenance functions does it it support and how many systems can it diagnose? I cant even find anything on the manufacturer's website. Is there a secret VIP site I don't know about!

Cheers mate, how àbout engine and gearbox data for the td5? :)
The engine and transmission overage seems pretty comprehensive. So far the only deficiencies I have found are remapping NNN ECUs and some security settings, including the ability to disable passive immobilisation.

Thank you very much for your info. Very helpful. :):D

With the Foxwell I’ve noticed it won’t recode the key fob for a Disco 2 even though it is stated on the website it does.

I confess I have never tried. I understood that there were some issues with the earlier models, but I thought they had been sorted on the 530. Perhaps not.
