loads of lanes on exmoor. back in the day all i did was get an o.s. map and explore. i used to live more bridgewater direction and theres a good few round there but to be fair its been so long since iv been laning out there i dont even know if most of its open or passable anymore.

i know, probably less than 4 miles of open lanes within a half hour drive of me and we're pretty rural.

sort of lucky because we have various off road events (terratagging, exmoor offroading) and the like every couple of weeks.

i all but gave up on laning a few years ago but latest from the national park was that they may be opening some up in summer 2013.

not sure if i believe my source tho.

(terratagging, exmoor offroading) .

Its alright. better than awdc trialing not as much fun as good pay and play quarry.

i only go now and again but its just about all we've got for 50 miles so its mega popular.

there always seems to be 40+ trucks and few manners. full of chavs in vitara's for the most part.

I know A39 by Washford has been flooded at least 3 times recently :(.

whats the Lyn like?

TBH i missed most of it. i work from home so dont go far but didnt see much flooding. just saw the aftermath.

i was driving home one night about four weeks ago and there were just lines of dead cars abandoned down the a39.

The water level would come up and go down fairly quickly.
Exmoor drains well by its very nature but its the heavy rain in short bursts that catch people out i think.

This thread got me thinkin earlier, might be nice for local peeps to meet up and do a bit of laning. probably better off bridgwater- glastonbury direction because exmoors pretty much closed.

Be a bit wierd for me because i havnt been laning out there for a good while.

anyway if anyone interested post here or start a new thread.

Id be interested but i only got ****ty road tyres at the minute otherwise id love to. sooner i get something with some half decent tread the better. when are you thinking mate

Whenever really. road tyres dont matter just means can practise recovery:D

you still into that diff?

Yeah def interested mate its just a case of avin the chance and what not to get to minehead. Hopefully il be able to swap my defender for a discovery all preped so im interested anyway longs i dnt get stuck every 10mins.
