Hi all, been away for a few years but finally bought the bullet again at the weekend and bought another freelander. The wife was getting annoyed from the smell of all the fishing gear me and my son were keeping in the family car - so she finally agreed to "let me" get another hippo. My son can't remember the other one we had, but was bouncing when he saw this one - 06 plate TD4 freestyle 5 door - 106k miles, but still looks good. VCU seems ok, so must have been replaced at some point - all props still present - which is unusual for one this age haha. Going to get the vcu refurbed anyway just to make sure!
Got a couple of issues I need to correct, window regulator gone in the back passenger side, and there is a bit of water getting in the boot - but there is a canny nick in the rear seal so I am presuming its that.
So anyway, I got it yesterday and have so far ordered a set of side steps, new stereo, roof bars, wheel caps and an eml327 bluetooth interface - still time tonight to keep buying stuff while she is in a good mood haha
