Does anyone know of a good independent garage in north west London who could fix my range rover p38 manual gearbox I think the pins have sheared on the fork or it needs a new clutch.
If the clutch pedal is on the floor then odds on its the pins. Not a bad job to do, I did mine a while ago. Raised her up on 4 ramps, gives you plenty of access. Good trolley jack required. Remove transfer box then gearbox then bellhousing. Pins cost £2 but I put a new clutch in as well whilst it was stripped down.
Thanks so much for this 20 years ago I could have done it but I have rheumatoid arthritis and simply don't have the strength anymore it your post was so succinct that it makes feel so easy - I thought it may be the pins so will get the clutch replace at the same time as the pins many thanks

Not as young as I used to be and suffer from arthritis myself after a nasty RTA, getting up and down (no double entendres Tony, Keith and especially you Mozz) was my problem, but once down there it was pretty simple. I needed a clutch slave cylinder as well as the old one jacked out and cut the piston seal. Best of luck, sorry I cannot help with an Inndy.
Try these guys, I know PB is a bit of a distance but they do the stuff I can't do or that I don't have the inclination to do Dave is the main guy but they are pretty busy so sometimes you can have a bit of a wait
