Hi all, have recently aquired a Landy and am hungry for knowledge I think this could be the right place to start the trek..!!! :D

Hi, fishface220 thx for the welcome, it took some time to find, and I had to travel over 200 Miles there and back to get it you have to love ebay...

Full service history, mainly form Land Rover main dealers, don't know if thats a good thing :) , brand new MOT and 9 months tax..!!! Same owner for the past five years (retired woman she suffered a stroke so found it difficult to drive)..!!! and the only travelling it did was to a static caravan and back...!! Still has the original owner manual, rear parcel shelf, and parcel shelf retaining strap..!! cross pieces for the roof rack, the best bit was the price, <£1800.. me was happy...

Have found a few rust horrors and its missing the rear door pockets but for the age nothing really drastic...

Cant stop tinkering with it... :)

Snap! Ebay was where my little baby came from too. A bloke from Devon had a bad accident in work and damaged his leg (couldn't use a clutch) and had to trade it in. He hads plans of taking it to Morocco and was getting it kitted up ready. (sold the full length roofrack for £200)
You could see a tear in his eye when I handed him £2000-00 and took his little baby away. Promised him I'll look after it? Ha!

Picked up a set of Mud tyres on LWB rims for £60-00 off ebay aswell. Its starting to look the way I want it too now, but is still spending too much time on tarmac! Off over to the Brecon Beacons this weekend so we'll soon change that!!!!

lol, The Beacons are literally on my doorstep, I live in South Wales, but as I told the missus, I'll be driving round puddles... lol too besotted at the mo, although I did try it on a bit of rough road close to where I live to give the diff lock, and low box a workout, was a little stiff but worked a treat..!!! :p

Hope you have fun in the Beacons, after all the rain over the last two days should be good... :)

Rain in the Beacons? That makes a change ;)

One of my favourite parts of the country, BTW

Welcome to the forum and to LRs :)
