Ive have checked all threads on this site about radio and sat nav problems.
4.6 2000 vogue.
For some reason i have lost all sound to my speakers. I have power to amp,sat nav,cd and radio. Found no water or corrosion on any of the connectors. Have taken sat nav out but still no sound. Removed stereo and re input-ed code still no joy. All fuses are OK. Is there anything else i can check before i end up paying loads to my local stealer. First time ive asked for advice hope this is in the right place.

the sound goes through the out stations and you could have a problem there or the internal amp in the stereo is faulty

I have just had the same problem with my harmon kardon system, it is a fault in the head unit itself maybe the same thing?

Thanks for the quick reply. Oh well take ill have to try and source a new head unit. Ive just found a local car audio place so might pop and see what they can do.
Sorry to ask another question but can the head unit amp be replaced.
Give me a few more months running this beast and im sure i will be able to offer a little advice to someone.

Just removed front door cards and found out that the drivers side lower speaker was not connected and that the connectors has been snapped off and no way of re wiring it back up. Took it to radio specialist and said i would need to replace speaker with original part and would not even attempt to look at stereo as it sounded to complicated.
Spoke to local dealer £42 for speaker and as for the no sound from any audio equipment they had no idea apart from that a short may have occurred and tripped the stereo even though all equipment has power to it.
Removed stereo and took it apart going to leave it out and unpowered over night and see what that does.
learnt a lesson today if its plastic and looks like it wont unclip it wont, it will just snap. (Little bolt type things that hold the mesh speaker cover
) I'm sure super glue will fix it.

I'm having the same problem, i've been told that if there is no sound from the stereo or the satnav then it is probably the dsp amp situated behind the sub woofer behind the panel and all the sound proofing, trying to find a replacement is a bitch! if ya have any joy fixing yours then let me know..
Regards
Dan

Ive heard of this problem before, and as mentioned it is usually the DSP amp that is at fault.

just got mine sorted, it turns out that the xqk 100340 amp and the xqk 100210 amp are the same, i tried it on the off chance because i was sick of no sounds and now i'm back up and running RESULT!!!

i fitted a new headunit an cause the karmen system is already amped an i was tryin to amp it again it blew the headunit (wounder because it cost a bomb!) I then had components fitted all round an there was this humming/buzzing sound coming from all speakers even if they werent conected to any thing. any way after alot of head scratching an ****ing about i had to take out all of the wireing from the karmen system an for some reason it stopped it.

The P38 is amazing but the electrics are one of a kind!lol

These caps seem to know their stuff with replacing the set with another make??

Range Rover Car Audio Amplifier By-Pass Lead
You are purchasing a unique lead which is not commercially avaliable from anyone else to enable easy fitting of any aftermarket car audio unit into all Range rovers with the pictured stereo.
The standard range systems have an external amplifier and non standard ISO connectors making it impossible to just plug an aftermarket car stereo in. The pink plug shown in the picture is a 10 way iso connector which carries all the low level signals including one for the subwoofer in the rear nearside quarter panal.
The power iso connector found in the range's aperture is wired differently to a normal one making it even more difficult to just plug your new stereo in.
We have an established car audio business and have spent a long time developing this lead which will get the best from the Range's audio system.
The standard Clarion made unit is quite troublesome and cost's and arm and a leg if it go's wrong to put right. At the end of the day it is only a rad/cass!!.
