over the counter tree and rock sliders rely on 3 points of contact on a Defender 110 - I have only two ( one is a mid point outrigger ) where the rearmost mounting should be there is no outrigger to bolt to. Many you tube videos show 110’s with 2 outriggers and the forward most mounting. 2003 Defender 110 2 door - any suggestions to overcome this problem

I’ve got a 90 so am not familiar with the 110 chassis. However, if you haven’t bought your sliders yet, have you looked for some with the two-point fixing? If not, you could get the extra outrigger welded on but this would only be for your sliders and would otherwise be redundant.

I also have a 2 door 110 hard top. My tree sliders bolt to the front outrigger and the second attachment is a special outrigger mounted to the tree slider as part of the slider construction which then bolts to the suspension mount for the rear trailing arm. They are not jackable but do the job and fit on a two door.

Unfortunatly I cannot help with what make they are as I bought them second hand as had the same problem fining a set that was suitably for a hardtop.

Are they for the look or do you expect to use them as intended ? If the latter then I recommend welding in suitable mounts.

Mine have been used in anger and did the job with no problems. They are not jackable however this has never been a problem, and I have the wheel hooks for side recovery.
