Hi!

I have a Clarion unit (P38 1998) with "No Pack" displayed in the radio unit when I try to trigger the CD Charger. I checked the CD Charger, it seems dead to me as I push the Eject button and get nothing, not even a sound of something happening. I ejected the magazine manually and put it back, nothing, still not reacting and "No Pack" displayed in the radio console.

What should I do? I am not even sure there is power to the CD Charger! It is plugged it, but no reaction. Perhaps it is dead and I should swap it for something else, but what??

Thanks for your help!

Not sure where it's powered from, but could be a fuse or a corroded connector.

Yes, this is also what I am thinking. I will check the connector to the side of the CD Changer. But what about the fuse? There is a 3 amp fuse on the charger itself. What about the fuse boxes in the engine and under the passenger's seat?

Thanks, Datatek!

In case the CD Charger is done for, what could be the replacement? Another one (on eBay) or to move to something else? My wife likes to listen to music in car. For me, after a Classic Range Rover, it is the engine I love listening to...

If there was rear end damage, it's possible the unit has been damaged.
Ebay replacement would be easiest, a new radio is not a straightforward option on a P38.
