hi hope this might help others most range rovers hav a fault on them when gear box stops working every one hnks is box nacerd on the rear of the box there is a moter these stik or stop working and put the box in nutrall take the moter off inside theres a cog wined it in and try it disconect the wires so it cant do it again till repared or freed off it should drive then iv done this on a fue now and all drove again this should save you thosands thanks john and good look

That would be the transfer box shift motor.
its a comen fault and pepol think its gear box
The gm gearboxes are rubbish
the transfer motor is usually down to lack of use.
