just driving the series 3 lwb 2.25 petrol, and it was stalling like a biatch like grabbing and stuff. now just driving in first went for second nothing, went went back to first nothing, stopped went for reverse, nothing no burning smell, no dripping underneath of fluid, what would you do first like i said its dark and have had to leave it sumwere, so abit worried do you think the clutch has just completly failed cus there is no bite or do you think its a cylinder, i aint looked what would you suspect.
it disengages just doesn't engage, so slave cylinder.

last time i had summit similar it was the fekin layshaft broke in the box,took ages to suss it,bloody series 2 we was rebuildin.you could drive it up and down the yard for around 10 mins then you had nothing,leave it 20 mins to cool down and you had drive agin,checked all the hydraulics,took the enjun out to check clutch plate,all was good tried agin same problem finally took the box out and found the shaft snapped in two,hope this int appined to yours

sadly thats what it sounds like its coming from more a gearbox issue not a clutch.

thats more like it, its engaging and disengaging properly, just as you release it, its crunches in the box

il have a look tomorro, il sort if it is a lay shaft it might be telling me 200tdi and box time

sorted, simple, but annoying the hi low ration lever disconecte its self from the gearbox so ended up in neutral simple couldnt see in the dark

at least you didnt pull the box apart before you found it lol
