Yes the model/year of disco always helps :)

For a D1 RHD with a two button fob there's an electronic sounder with it's own battery back-up fitted under the bonnet on the off side wing, if u have one u can't miss it.

its a 1 button fob :S

Ok I assume u have the standard LR system then the alarm uses the horn as the sounder so it the horn works ok in normal operation the fault must lie with the alarm ECU or the output to where it connects within the wiring loom to the horn circuit.
Have u checked the ECU connection plug is secure.

I wouldn't have a clue where that would be sorry.

What I can confirm is that the horns must yell......some types have a BBUS(battery backed-up sounder) but this one is additional and its for the alarm status not for the big noise, this one is RH side in the engine bay approx over the wheel.

i looked on that rave thingy, and i did the diagnostic text and everything works but the horn. as expected, but even the rave disc says there is a seperate horn but i cannot find it for the life of me. so i would say they use the regular horns. just now i have to locate everything

Its behind the glove box I believe as i never had to do it, drop the lid/box down and u will see it, it an oblong box with a tv style antenna plug plus a multi-pin plug pluged into it.
