Hi I am New to the Landy zone and looking for a bit of help I have just upgraded from a Freelander to a Defender 90 TD5. The paintwork on the rear body tub ( Steel Top Rail ) is showing signs of rust. I have checked and they are still available. If I bought these I would send them for galvanising. But just wondered if anyone was producing Stainless rails.

If I have posted this in the wrong section of the forum please let me know where I should post

Welcome to the Loonyzone.......Nice upgrade, we can ignore the freelander as a mild indiscretion...

Body cappings can be purchased I believe already galvanised. I have never heard of stainless ones.

Personally, I am not aware of any stainless steel replacement parts. Your idea of galvanising would do the job.
