I'm buying my first V8 Disco this week coming, wanted one for years since I drove my bosses about 6 years ago. Any tips or hints really welcome.

The boot floor, sills front, inner wings, rear inner wings are the places you need to be looking. the sills and the front wings are not that bad of a job to repair or replace but the back end can be a bit of a nightmare

This will be my first V8, but thrid Disco. Had a 200Tdi first, 300 Tdi which went last week. Both had "Tin rot" issues. Last one I replaced the boot floor, wasn;t a bad job to do. Butthe sills, rear arch and inner wing failed the MOT along with a huge advise list - so I called it quits.

I'm taking my torch with me and will be seeing what all the weak points are like.

I didn't think people were buying V8's now or so we are told. Nice to see someone keeping them alive :)

Too true, pete!

I was followed up the A19 yesterday by a lady driving a 'Maroonish' Disco 2 V8, kept up with me and I was shifting along too! First V8 D2 I've seen for quite a while.
