Sorry i should have introduced myself before posting on the forum.
I have just bought a series 3 109 station wagon which has been stood for 7 years in a field. 1972 petrol, on the whole it's not to bad for its age, I'm told it had chassis replacement 12 years ago, but thats gone in places.
I've always owned a land rover in one form or another since I could drive, (hell 24 years!) but i'm now on Discovery 3s so I never actually lift the bonnet! (just open the wallet)
Bit nervious about the welding on this one, I've replaced Rear cross members and out riggers in the past with an arc welder but this will need quite a lot of MIG welding on the bulkheads and door pillers which I've never done before.
Any go sites that cover this work?
No doubt you'll all be hearing from me a lot more as this project goes on, it's amazing what you forget!
