Just bought myself a nice 96 p38 4.0 in gunmetal grey? with lpg.
Lovely car but I do have a few questions.....

When i put the heater (or air con) on, I get hot air from the left side, whatever setting I use. Right side is fine.

I get the message that the RSF door is open when its not?

It runs better on LPG than petrol - when on petrol the tickover seems a bit low and 'lumpy'?

When I start it up I tend to have to give it a little gas else sometimes it will stall.

Any ideas or solutions for the above?
many thanks!!

The heater problem sounds like "Blend Motors" Frequent P38 problem. Front door open will be the door switch or wiring connections to the outstation and lock assembly if you are lucky.

and set up the single point lpg system!!

i'll bet its an aeb leonardo controller and if its not set up it'll cause odd issues on the tickover.

change the boyracer air filter for a steel boy racer air filter, they dont deteriorate with backfires!!

Update on this one -
I went out on a run with it just now and the heater was working as it should....???
Another thing, the display on the heater control lcd thing is pretty much unreadable, very dull, some digits not coming up etc - are these easily replaced?

Also there is a book! symbol - what is this for/meaning?

thanks again!

Hi ive got the same problem on a 2000 P38 and the prob cause is the blender motors on the side you have no control over. These could cost from about £200 but you may souce them cheaper on Ebay.
P.S They are hard to change as they are located behind the dashboard which has to be dismantled. Sorry i cant help with the other probs.
