I have just purchased a set of HID headlights and front grille fom the new Mk111 RR. Has nybody done a conversion on here from the P38?

I have seen on another forum that it can be done, but not much info just pics.

Any help?...
 
check out simmonites they do the conversion and may give you some pointers i think its £1100 for them to do it.

I have the lights and grille and would be doing this job myself. However i will check them out to see if i can get any pointers. Many thanks
 
If you find someone who will fit your kit, just let me know, they can do mine.
Simmonites need your car for three days. Look up rover.net, it has some good pictures and will make your mouth water, why not fit R/R sport vents as well, i'm not sure if Simmonites will fit your kit, it might be! we will only fit our kits, but i spoke to a guy called Mark at Simmonites, they haven't fitted many xenon type, only early 2002 Halogen ones, because of price £2.850 all in, there Halogen kit is £1295, upto date price all in, let me know how you get on

If Simmonites will fit my own kit, they might have the job, they can fit side vents as well, another valid point, the Xenon lamps might have the same mounting points but i don't know, the wiring is definately different, let me know how you get on buddy, keep the wiring diagram atleast.
 
check ebay there is a listing for the p38 which is offering a guide to fitting the headlights, worth checking out.

I thought this was for the Xenon kit which was on offer and included front grill, anymore input on item number or anything or whats the listing title

the listing isnt selling the kit its a guide to fitting the lights, just type in range rover p38 its on the last page or the 1 before cant remember
 
well rangieP38 i have bought the info for £15.00, the item number is 230041139337... on ebay if anyone else is reading this, it's not a step by step but it's a start
 
I think that i should of given the £15 to charity, item no. is 230041139337. off ebay and the seller is 1006rebecca, must work off the sofa.
This is by a cabbage potato, the info does NOT really help with 2003 conversion, it's all in "landrover.net", it deals mostly with HID, and for that, you contact Ian at= sales@hids4u.co.uk and will advize on range rover headlamp mods, even fitting projectors and the BMW ring elements, if he can't help you nobody can, if anyone still wants to do this mod, fit the early 2002 M3 square HALOGEN lamps at £250 each from L/R then having fitted them, email Ian and get the HID kit and fit that, it's just as good. The Bi-Xenons are £520 each +VAT from L/R but your buying expensive ballast and self level motor, which doesn't work in P38, so a waste of money.

Don't worry rangieP38 maybe i should of asked first, but i'v put it on the forum, hopefully people won't use it, also she has a crap feed back in her ebay, it was only £15, first hour this morning i made up the £15 so i aint worried, i'v directed people to sales@hid4u.co.uk, he has some new mods coming out;) Kev.
 
I have decided to sell both headlights and front grille as have little motivation to modify to fit them now. I have put the H4 HID lamp kit in the OE headlights and this is more than adequate for what i want.

Ebay item number 290041705445 if anybody is interested.
 
Cheers, but it is more hassle i think, pity you fitted the HID, sales@hids4u.co.uk, has just done some h/lamp mods useing the BMW round Xenons and he has fitted the angel eyes in them, anyway thanks for telling me they are on ebay.
