Hiya all
Looking for little bit of help with the p38 tail gate open message
Tail gate shut interior light comes on by its self as message on the dash is tail gate open. Also sets off the alarm < oh joy as if the RF was not enough lol > took of the tailgate carpet to find what looks like a little black reed switch with the actuator arm over it ? slotted a penny in place no more alarm or boot open !
Question is can you just buy the switch or do you need a whole new part ?
Second question
Rear lights, all the light work apart from the rear side lights. Which again are on the tail gate ( faults up on dash again. Any ideas where to start looking for the problem ? was thinking along the lines of a broken wire around the boot lid somewhere ?
