Mad 4x4 it!

New Member
Hello all,
I am a newbie to this site. You probably dont get many girls on here?

Although I have owned my FL 03 (aptly named 'Landy') for 5 years - it has until recently been used as my every day car - its been on many a camping/caravaning trip around France and Italy. Since getting a new job in Rochester ( I live on the Hythe coast) I bought a cheaper runaround for work - so Landy is strictly now my 'fun car' / weekender!

I have recently been wanting to get into off-roading - as its a pass time I wish to persue. Anyone any ideas how I can get started??

I have been reading some of the green lane-ing threads - and although they seem excellent fun, am not sure how to get into this, as a complete novice - or even if there are any such lanes near me. Someone mentioned a lane behind the Blue Bell Hill near Boxley...?? And, its obvious not to go on these alone, so I dont know anyone either!!

Can anyone make any suggestions???
PS - what a great site! havent seen this before!

Seee there's loads of people near you! Lots of experience and (not saying good or bad) advice! Although most people will probably side with sean in saying that if you want to start offroading / greenlaning, you should probably sell your gaylander and get a discovery or defender!!! Welcome to the mad house :D

sell it and buy a depender

Forget a Pretender & keep your reliable Freelander, especially if it's been good to you for the past 5 years. Honestly, the way some people go on about Freelanders on this site you'd think they were terrified of them. Maybe we should start calling them Fearlanders for all the pussies out there.
Seriously though, any questions & Ming gives some of the best advice here.

Welcome to the site fellow Fearlander.
