Hi Everyone,
After a few years of owning a 3.2DID shogun, I have finally got around to buying a 2002 Discovery TD5 GS. On the whole I am pleased with the vehicle but find it hilarious when you talk to other owners about their Discoveries problems. Seems every problem is a "common problem" and if it hasnt happened it will happen. Luckily my car has seemed to had all the "common faults" already. We use ours for towing a horse box, we find it a lot easier than we did with the shogun, mainly down to the SLS system which we have recently replaced the sensors on. Next job is the sunroofs, we have purchased new sealant and rubber seals and we are very lucky to have no saggy headlining. I am planning on taking the sunroofs out resealing them and fitting new rubber seals. At the same time I will repair/reinforce the drain tube connectors and reseal the boxes. Hopefully that will solve that problem.

I am also in the middle of upgrading the sound system which is proving to be a bit of an headache. It came with an aftermarket kenwood CD player which didnt work very well. I have aquired an alpine headunit as was used in the ES models along with the Amp. I now need to connect it all up.

Anyway, thats a little about my truck. Iook forward to fault finding with you all soon.

Regards

Lee
