On the verge of buying my first Landrover - a Discovery 300 hopefully, a little worried about buying a "Bad Un" as i have a limited budget but willing to take the plunge. always wanted one for travelling in european countryside / forest
Trying to look for all the usual Discovery pit falls, but have the feeling you cant get one that ticks all the boxes without a fair amount of negative points / repair work but i guess thats all part of owning a Landrover.
Anyway , i hope to get some help and answers on here and also make some new friends.

hi rick im new aswell, ive just bought a 300tdi, payed slightly more than i would have liked too but there is some good ones out there, just have a good check round the sills, the rear doors, inner wings front and rear also the boot floor, im new to this aswell so maybe some more senior members will tell you more

Hi Matt,
Got to the garage today to hopefully have a look round / drive & hopefully buy what i thought loooked a pretty good one to find out it had gone this afternoon so i'm a liitle miffed to say the least, have to say seller was less than helpful as i called yesterday and asked about a test drive only to be told it was having some work done, i asked if i could book a viewing and got a negative answer, i was and am rather annoyed.
By theway where in Chesterfield are you?

hi rick, yes mate i had the same problem every1 i looked at was available there and then, but with work commitments not been able to get anywhere till the weekend, when you ring back they have all gone lol, but hope you get one soon mate.

im in brimington mate.
