Hiya, names Andy living in Ireland 13 years now originally hailing from yorkshire.
Back in the day i used to drive 90's for work and have always wanted to own my own. Now im on the wrong side of 40, married with 3 kids i find myself in a dilemma.

You see road tax here is astronomical just like fuel prices for passenger vehicles so until now LR have been out of reach - pre '08 ( which is where my funds allow) tax is based on engine size so a 2.5 is over a grand a year. However having just made my 3rd child welcome im into 'people carrier' territory as we have dogs and lots of nieces/nephews who join us - thought this the ideal time to look at a 110 rather than a galaxy!!
Anyhoo this is what brought me here, been lurking via tapatalk for a few weeks, seeing lots of **** taking going on along with the good info etc and figured i could fit in so thought id say hi then pull up a stool and have a look about some more

anyone else from my neck of the woods? anyone with a 'lots of bloody kids' scenario??
cheers all

Hi Bigboned

:welcome2:

When our kids were younger we got a Disco and it was great for ferrying them and their friends around. It had the rear ladder and they were always climbing over then thing. Definitely added to the fun in life.

When we moved over here we bought another and it was great going away to exciting places with family, friends and visitors. Once again really added to the fun.

The only thing I'd say is that the 'lots of seats' options in Disco 1's and Defenders (unless you're going newish) are side facing and I'm sure not the safest of things. A D2 with forward facing seats might be a safer option.
