So I didn't want to be one of those people that just join and ask loads of questions without even saying hello as I would consider that to be a bit rude, especially as I will no doubt need your help at some point.
So HELLO guys, I'm Tom and I bought myself a little project which is a 90, it was running real bad when I got it, so I thought best to rip out the engine and start again (it was the 19J). I bought a defender 200TDI to go in it's place, before fitting the engine I noticed a bit of rot on the chassis and decided to go the whole hog and do it properly..... Shame I'm clueless as to what I'm doing, but it passes the time lol. The bulkhead had some shoddy repair, it looked like it had been peeled open and a new panel put in, which left a gaping hole WTF?!? I binned it and bought a solid TD5 06 bulk head instead and before I knew it I have a rolling chassis, how does that happen?
I'm now in the process of grinding off all the surface rust off the chassis, I've only come across three areas which will need welding, two tiny holes and re-weld the poor attempt someone made of putting an out rigger on.
Anyway, Ill no doubt be speaking to some of you soon enough, and will probably get on your nerves asking questions, which I apologise for in advance!!!
