looking to put some new tyres on my disco, it's fitted with 255/55/18 Bridgestone tyres at present, I'm thinking about changing the tyres for something along the lines of something more a/t or general grabber, the disco is a td5 auto , what type of tyres do you recommend along with size ? The disco has not been lifted .
I put insa turbos on my old trooper they were ok , but I don't think they will suit the disco ?

I've got NEXEN Roadians on my in 18" too.
They seem fine and not particularly expensive

I have 255 55 18 malatesta koala.. nice tyres, remoulds so there a little cheaper but I'm not happy with the ride as the car wanders a little bit and I'm wanting a better off road ride too so I'm swapping to 16's.. but whatever wheel suits you best. I'm happy with the malatesta. Had generals at 2's on before and I haven't noticed a vast difference

Why does every **** seem to think "Insa Turbo" is a tread pattern FFS. It's a remould manufacture and they sell lots of different tread patterns!!!

As for AT or not.... well what do you plan to do with the vehicle? If it never goes off road, then no, you don't need them. If it does, how much and where?, An MT might be better.

It's not rocket science tbh, but only you can say what you'll be using the vehicle for.

You will be disappointed on wet roads if you fit general grabbers, unless you enjoy taking roundabouts on opposite lock, peeps recommending cooper stt to me as a good on/ off road tyre, but haven't quite worn my grabbers out!!
