Welcome to lz, mate! :)

Like he sez ^^^^^^^^^^^^, that is an unusual spelling of chassis! :D

I would post that question in General landrover section, this is really just for intros! ;)
But personally, if I was rebuilding a series, I would get a series chassis. Preferably a new galvanised one. Series are getting quite collectible, and a rechassis is a lot of work. Best to do a thorough job, keep the original vehicle, and get full value for your time.

Thanks and sorry for the spelling Im dyslexic I just want the best but cheap

No worries, we got the idea anyway! :) Think a new galvanised series chassis would be about 1200 quid for a short wheel base.

Google Richards or Marsland Chassis, there should be a price list on their websites! :)

Deffo, go for a new galv chassis, as with the RR chassis you could fall into issues ref the legality and using the reg number.

@RyanDay1 ,may know a bit more about the chassis etc as he is doing something similar.

Oh, welcome BTW.............:D

Cheers

Cheers and I was thinking bout a new galv chassis then was think if I could make Range Rover chassis or do I clean and improve one already on series ‍♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️

@harveyw97
Most chassis will only need major work on the rear since the front usually gets a nice smothering of oil, tis what's happened to mine so I went with buying a half chassis that gets rid of the whole naff end in one go leaving only a bit of de rusting at the front to do :)

Plus the cross member...
Wouldn't go with an RR chassis with what original series will be worth in years
:)

Adding to last post, that cost me 400 squid for 1/2 chassis, rear middle cross member, and front dumbiron job by, 1/2 chass was 300 odd, and its great quality, welds are snazzy, except the paint is s@#£
Saves me a grand in my eyes!
For the front all I need to do its pull off some surface rust as ive ordered some top notch chassis paint that's straight over the rust, inhibits and top coats in one so should be easy job,
If you choose to go down the savey money route :)

I have got a back half of an 88inch n I've also go a full 88inch chassis I'll upload pics in morning when there is light. I can't really do anything till I've figured out what best chassis is

:DHa ur certainly not on ur own, my dads got a lightweight we are stating to re-build agin when he weather is nicer:D

I could give my 2a to one of my lads if it'd make you feel happier:D
Gotta do it! My old man gave me my S3, all 200 quid of it, it'd been sat there since I was too young to know what it was, but I always wanted it, we dragged it out the hedge and now landys have taken over me life, long as they appreciate it ;)
