hey im 21, just been given a land rover series 2a from grandfather, needs a little work, does anybody know any good insurers that will be good for me as i am still quite young and only been driving a year. thanks leanne :)

Someone'll be along in a bit with info' there are are few specialist LR insurers that do good deals.

:welcome2:

Alot of the specialist company's either won't insure under 25's or they will have stupidly high premiums.

I had one Quote for 11 grand for a 1999 TD5 110 Hard top, I'm 23 and have 5 Years no claims. Ended up going with direct line, they worked out the cheapest for me.

Search the threads i member quite a few posts about cheap ins for young drivers of series :)

NFU mutual isn't too bad but their premiums have recently gone up. I'm now with Adrian Flux

I agree with Medusa, I shopped around for ages and A.F were the cheapest. And if you mention this forum (or is it LRUK?) you get a supposed discount too.

When I was 21 I insured my series III with Lancaster. If you go to the back pages of a LR mag or one of their websites there will be plenty of adverts. Just ring em all and see what happens.

The Camel is with Adrian Flux, as only them, Sureterm and NFU understand what it is. Defender and Freelander with Admiral/Elephant/Bell/Diamond which are all the sane group.

Cheers

Blippie
