Hi my name is Kieron and I would like some of your opinions to help me become a land rover owner, I've been looking at land rover freelanders 2002-2004 but as I'm a virgin to these good looking 4x4s I'm not sure how reliable and what to look out for and what problems they have? :s if you can give me your opinion I would be much appreciated thanks Kieron.

Why have you decided on a Freelander if I may ask? Is it purely the look of it? Do you want to do some serious green laning or is it just as a family car for around town? Everyone I know that's had a Freelander has had problems with the head etc on them and soon got shot of them. I'd go for a decent Disco if I were you (but then I would say that :) ).

Thats not realty a straight forward question with a straight forward answer

If its a free lander you want have a good read in the free lander section to see what your getting yourself into

There is an intro section if you plan to stick around

Definitely a virgin in other ways too with an opinion that a gaylander is good looking :D

Actually I think the FL2 is a good looking vehicle. I know the OP is looking at FL1s, which I don't like myself, but I would quite happily use an FL2 as a family car, and keep the Defender for the rough stuff.
