Hi GuysI stay just outside Glasgow near Loch Lomond. I Have today purchased a 1999 Range Rover 4.6 HSE with 100000 miles with FSH. I have used the forum as means of trying to buy a good one and armed with all the buying advice I received from you guys I decided on this one. I have viewed and test drove a few dogs, didn't like the diesels so decided that if it was going to be a petrol may as well go for the big one.
I did not expect it to have nothing wrong with it. Body is very clean as is interior, everything works and have driven it home through A roads and motorway and suspension has behaved so far. No engine problems, probably needs a service and going to change all the fluids so that I know they are done.
Passenger seat belt not locking in place. I hope/ it should be an easy fix!!
My other problem is the passenger wing mirror. Dips when reversing and returns in drive, moves up and down and moves away from the car but it won't turn towards vehicle. Strange or common? Drivers works perfectly.
Before anyone makes comments such as hope you have deep pockets and it was lucky to get me home the whole 70 miles without problem.
I have had a L322 RR before which was written off by a red van man. I know they are problematic, I know I will be using this forum plenty but I am handy with spanners at DIY level and ready to see where this adventure takes me.
Thanks in advance for any any help I receive from this excellent forum
