Having owned land Rovers from 1971 you would have thought I would know better, from a double skinned roof Safari 11 seater through the years then a county 110 Brand New, I got myself a Discovery 2 which after a while developed a leak, more of a shower to be honest, I the decided enough was enough and allowed myself to be mugged into a Discovery 3, which after 7 years now has the same leak and the central locking packed in. Thanks to your forum and advice I have since found the offending wire, right at the bottom of the harness, where you would expect all the water to be, I must thank Land Rover for the thought they put into placing it where it would get soaked. The design team must have worked hard at this. Thank you again LandZone, all I have to do now is put the trim back together. Any ideas. PS. This is not a suicide note.

Welcome to LZ, Jim! :)

I have never had a D3, so I am unsure which trim you are talking about.
You might find your question will get more attention in the Disco section. ;)

Welcome aboard :)

there's an old saying about land rovers, which you have probably heard:- "it's hard to keep the oil in and the water out" !

Got any piccies of your D3 - we likes piccies ;) - there are a few owners on here now - not that I'll ever be one of them - I hate electronics - but they certainly look a nice bus :)

hi and welcome to the asylum

indeed as @Turboman suggested , pop ur question over in the discovery section and can then help

there are several fixes, assume ur talking about a leak by the fuse box that’s situated behind the lower glove box

another reason i bought one without the sunroofs, lol

Blimey Gary, the sunroofs as well, your D3 was missing loads of stuff.....LOL.............:p:p

Cheers

lol, ;):D

was the main reason i bought the base model, so it didn’t have all the extra toys , then if i wanted to i could retro fit items after and cheaper on insurance:)

have added, front electric seats and cruise control :D
