I`ve been lurking as a guest a while now, but having shamelessly exploited the knowledge of members to buy a disco, thought i should join.
I seem to have been fortunate to have found a 1994 model with none of the regular faults. Its been main dealer serviced and apart from a few niggles i`m like a dog with two apendages.
The temp gauge doesnt work and having crawled underneath to grease nipples, i noticed the underseal is very thin and flaking off in a few places. I thought of a satisfying weekend with a wire brush, then a spray with stone chip guard might be in order, unless someone can advise otherwise.
Anything in the near future maintenance wise i might want to look at? before something serious comes home to roost.
Is a liberal squirt with waxoyl a good idea?

I`m looking at sorting a few parts for it, like a roofrack to carry a couple of kayaks which is not too difficult to remove when not in use, and generally a retail outlet specialising in landrover bits that i can look at online

Cheers in advance.

Thousand of goody sellers on the net. Waxoyle is always a good idea.

I'd get the temp guage sorted if I was you. Better safe than sorry.

Cheers bud. I`ll get the gauge sorted asap. I dont want to find the first indication of an overheat is steam and a warped head.
