Well I just traded a salvage title 2004 mustang gt 5 speed for a 1999 range rover. Checked under the hood for leaks but didnt look under the vehicle.

Get to my mother in laws concrete driveway and see red fluid leaking(very slow drip) from about right under the middle console area or under the driver seat basically.

To be out of that 5 speed/salvage title and into an automatic I'm actually not too upset as I've realized all vehicles suck at some point.

Assuming its transmission fluid.

Hoping there is a seal in that area?

thanks in advance

If its red its transmssion fluid, at least its red not brown which is a good sign.. Thats about where the sump is could be just the gasket around the sump or the drain or filler not sealed properly

Highly likely to be rear output shaft seal. Fluid is then distributed by handbrake drum to all parts of under side. Or front output shaft seal. They are the only things that leak around the gearbox. If the seal has gone check the bearings.
