Thought I'd say hello, as a new Range Rover owner.

Recently bought a 2015 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic 3.0 Sdv6.

Really pleased with it, it's a fair bit different from my previous Freelander 2 HSE!!!

Daft as it is, it's cheaper on tax, more economical than the freelander, and only cost me an extra £200/year to insure!!

I do have an odd sound from the break pedal when starting, but I'll start a separate thread for that.

Yep, it's got keyless, all sports of this type has it.

I've got a Faraday box for the fobs at home etc, and taken as many other precautions as possible to keep it secure.

Good Luck! We know the reg no. and that its at number 109 in a street in P'boro.
Our trained gang of crack-head drug-using car thieves will visit you shortly with their super spoof technology ;)

JK, good to know you have a Faraday cage for your fobs, is it on the hall table just inside the front door? (asking for a friend).

A Faraday cage will not stop it being nicked from the supermarket car park when you have the FOB in your pocket. Good luck with it but don't be shocked when it disappears.
Is it not possible to turn the keyless feature off?

It's in the rottweilers basket, we don't feed him much, so he's quite protective!! 😛🤣 lol

At the end of the day, if someone wants the car that badly, they are going to take it anyway, no matter what precautions are taken.

Yep, can turn off the keyless feature, which I've done.

I'm a tight arse, so I tend to shop at aldi/lidl etc, so I doubt the general clientel there will carry that technology!! Lol

With keyless turned off, it's as safe as it can be. A metal box to put the FOB in when in your pocket would make it even safer.

You can reprogram your key less entry yourself with certain software available, I won't put the link up because I don't want to share it with any crims who might look in just to see what security measures people are taking. Any way it IS possible to add a 'phased' entrycode which alters the unlock codes on a continuous basis. The only problem is you you would need to connect a lap top once every three to four months and reset the reset if that makes any sense,. It is what the car thieves do, but in reverse!
Good luck with your ownership.
