Hi,

I am based in Ireland and am considering buying a Land Rover, pre 1984.

There are a couple of factors that are tempting me down this route

• If a car is 1983 or older it does not need an NCT (MOT)
• If a car is 1983 or older the road tax is a little over 50 euro per year
• Insurance would be cheap
• I could do with something to load my dogs in to as my newer vehicle is getting destroyed by hair, drool and other mystery fluids/stains
• I like tinkering with cars, I have only ever worked on tuning turbo cars from Japan but am interested in working on cars in general

I have been looking at a few online that are currently for sale so might have some questions for the informed among you later
