Hi everyone

My names Jack, I'm 20 years old and I'm currently restoring a 1983 Series 3 109 that was given to me to save from a lonely death! I'm currently an apprentice doing classic vehicle restoration but the landy has turned out to be a bit more of a total restoration than originally thought! It's been sat unused in a field for around 11 years and has the scars to prove it. I've already got a new chassis on order and have so far found 2 bee nests and 3 birds nests, one of those being within its current chassis!

I've contacted the MOD and they've returned no information relating the car to them so I'm assuming its current green paint was put on by someone just for looks. My plan therefore is to do as complete a restoration as possible to restore it to an as new condition whilst adding some of my own touches along the way. The engine started instantly after a new coil and solenoid and seems to run smoothly however the clutch is seized open so I haven't been able to 'drive' it yet.

I live in Studham but the car is currently kept at Bicester so a bit of a trek to get over to it! Its about 6 weeks into the restoration and I'm only working on it every Wednesday so far. All the bodywork is off and I now need to get stuck into the mechanicals and get it all ready for the chassis swap. I've luckily got a few resources at my disposal to soften the financial blow but its still going to be a long but hopefully worthwhile project :)

I've attached a few images showing its progress so far. Looking forward to post more as I go!

Jack
