Hello all fellow land rover enthusiasts!!

Been reading through the forum for the past year and figured its time to set an account and get more involved.

Im 27. Living in Wiltshire currently. And ive got 3 landys.

Discovery 2 1999, 4.6 v8, auto box, lpg converted but running dual fuel. Is and isnt a daily driver as if i can cycle into work i will.

I have two series 2a's both for restoration. A 1968 2.25 petrol 109 van body. And a 1967 2.25 petrol 109 station wagon. They are both heading towards being fully stripped down. And basically whichever has the better chassis will get put back on the road first because i can't wait to drive one!

Im terrible with the camera. As in i never use it.
And also due to work ive packed both landys away in a garage. Its was one made game on Tetris.
But il get the disco up tmw.

You have to take piccies of your Landies... it's the rulez... there will come a time when you'll look at them and reminisce about the good 'ole days. :)

So you were born on Christmas Day?
Hmmm!
Will have to be polite to you then!
(One of my Discos is similar to yours except it's manual, the dual fuel, same year and all, except it's a Disco 1, must have been one of the last.)

Yes born on Christmas but my mother says im not the Messiah im a very naughty boy.

And well when i bought it and went through the receipts i told and found its replacement engine got fitted.. however. The story and paperwork say 4 litre. But when changing the sump gasket noticed the crank says 4.6 and i then cleaned the engine number off and sure enough its S68A####D i think. Memory might have that wrong.. but i looked on google and its a morgan plus 8 4.6litre. Run well now after loads of tlc

I actually wanted a disco 1 but the wife wanted more space

There are advantages and disadvantages to both.
If she spends much time broken down in the rain and the cold due to some stupid electronic gremlin, she may be persuaded towards a D1!
Anyway, the extra .6 of a litre must make it go even better!
I am not driving mine at the moment as it fell at the first hurdle immediately after i bought it. Certificating the LPG conversion. It is obviously a professional job, 4 tanks underneath and a small petrol tank. runs perfectly. But couldn't find the paperwork, there probably never was any, or an earlier owner lost it. The local LPG guy took one look at it and said it wasn't worth my giving it to him to certify as he couldn't see the numbers on the tanks, which are on the top of them, under the floor and sills,, then he commented on the fact they were rusty, and one strap had bust. so i drove it home, parked it up and left it. too much else to do. so the TD5 continues to be the daily driver until I have time to sort the V8 out and my 300tdi Anniversary.;)
