Hi there
Just a quick hello from a new member recently decided that i needed (not quite , wanted) a 4x4 as never owned one before. Considering myself a petrol head (of sorts) and reading around, and listening to Clarkson on TV seems if you want a 4x4 with toys and comforts Rangey is the way to go. Surely unable to afford a new one, and the fact, that from when it was first released the L322 guise seemed to me, a huge leap forward from the P38.
To this end and with this strategy in mind i did excatly the opposite of what was advised (especialy for 2nd hand range rovers) with price being the only brief i bought a 2006 3.0 Diesel with relativley high mileage 150k and relativley no service history. I knew it needed TLC but to its credit the interior had worn amazingly well, no errors on the display, and no bangs rattles or shakes on the suspension which in fact works seamlessly well.
I noticed intermitant fault on the rear parking camera, binding rear brake claliper, and a slight fluttering or hesitancy on motorway driving after a period of constant throttle to increased throttle under load, which feels initially like a fueling issue but also could be transmission, all things being considered and the price i took the plunge, shes been great truley dissapointed i didnt get one earlier. So weekend tinkering and form search i fixed the camera, currently in the process of replaceing rear pads and disks overhauling the calipers at the same time.... will get piccies uploaded soon , thanks and sorry if i bored ya...
