Not sure how all this works yet but i could do with a bit of advice. I have a 1996 Disco 3.9 V8i XS Auto with an LPG system. I am pretty sure i have somehow killed the catalytic converters as there's no oomph in the engine now. Kickdown doesn't kick, goes up hills at about 20 mph! Can i just replace the cat pods or do i need the full system with the cats integrated? Would it be cheaper/better if i just effed the cats off and had a straight through S/S pipe? Would this have a bearing on the emissions for the MOT? I would appreciate your input on this if anyone has a minute. Many thanks.

Hi Steve, :welcome2: to the asylum!
Do a search on cat removal using the search button above, and if you don't find what you want, post yer Q on the Disco or V8 board :)

For what it's worth, I run a Janspeed S/S straight thro eggsauce, and she sails through the emissions test, but since it's on a 200tdi, it doesn't have much bearing on your problem :D

welcome to landyzone mate. Nobody said you gotta play nicely.

We don't;):D:D:D
