Hi,


I’m new and have just finally got my first defender (im 32 so have waited a while).


It’s a 1997 300tdi 90 in Arles blue and love it! It’s got a few leaks and bits to sort but enjoying owning it.


I’ve owned a few Jeep Cherokee XJs in the past so no stranger to fixing things.


Anyway, just saying hey!

Welcome to the forum. Increase the security to stop it getting stolen. Is the chassis held together with rust?

Hi,

No the chassis seems pretty good (it has some surface rust) and I have Thatcham 1 alarm/immobiliser, Steering lock and pedal lock and couple of other things on the go.

Not seen a guard cat on ere for a while. Most have guard pigs.
