After years of putting it off, I finally got myself a proper land rover. Its a 1995 Ex military 110 soft top Tithonus from Withams. I picked it up on Thursday and have started to strip out the surplus ex military kit suck as battery box, batteries, dexion trunking etc. I am going to clean it all up and touch up where the paint is flaking, rust, split door seals etc. i will also need to give it a decent service so I know where I stand with it.
One issue that I am keen for some feedback on is the rear bench seats, it has Exmoor Trim Outlast Wolf bench seats mounted at the rear of the tub. I want to add another pair of bench seats to the front of the tub but there are nt the any suitable mounts. There is an inner pressed metal skin that bolts along the side of the main tub, the current seat back rest bolts into this skin. But there are nt mounts to the front. Does anyone know how 4 sets of bench seats can be fitted? Do you need different inner skins? I have checked the Exmoor Trim website and cant see anything.
