furtle

Hello All,

We've just got a Freelander TD4 2006 reg. Years ago I had a Series 3 and until a couple of years ago a Defender TDi 300. Kinda missed the LR. Now living back in the sticks, the Freelander seems to tick a lot of boxes.

I have to say, I'm very surprised how nice it is to drive.

Just changed the EGR valve for a bypass and did the crank breather with the BMW vortex oil separator. The old EGR valve was seized solid with no recirculation possible and the crankcase breather mesh filter was quite oily but not blocked.

Don't suppose I'll see much improvement in ooomph but nice to know these little bits are sorted - all due to being able to freely furtle around on this forum for a while. Brilliant advice from many who post - so, big thanks to them. :)

Just gotta find some new tyres. First replacement set from new !
