Hi Guys

New here, have just purchased my first Land Rover, a 2002 Freelander. It's been a long day as I've spent about 8 hours travelling to pick this car up today. Now, this may sound incredibly dense but it was starting to get dark when I was on my way back and I twisted the headlight switch on the left on the indicator bar but had several people flash me, so I assumed I had them on high beams. However I note the switch has only 3 settings - off (the circle) - Dipped beams - and then it seems high beams? Am I missing something here? I realized after a bit of fiddling that there was a switch to adjust the height of the beams? Someone please explain! Would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Also another question, the front speakers are looking a tad rusty, I'd like to remove the grills and paint them. How is this done? It's a 3 door 2002 Freelander Serengeti.

Thanks

Switching between dip and main beam is done from a stalk on the steering column. A read of the owners handbook might help.

I didn't get a handbook with the car so I have to ask this incredibly dense question. All I seem to have is dipped beams and high beams?? or perhaps the people that flashed me on the road were in the wrong? It seems to just have the 2 switches on the left column??

If you are talking about the main light switch, I don't know your model, but the main switch may have headlights and then fog lights on the next postion. When in the headlight position, you can switch between main and dip from a stalk on the column.
