Based in Ireland.
Been looking at the forum for years, finally regged last year, got my first Land Rover a few weeks ago.
Always wanted a proper Series II or Series III Defender in green.... ended up with a 2001 blue Freelander. Still, at least it has leather seats! :cool2:
Had to balance the need for 4x4 with the okay fuel efficieny offered by the TD4 engine. Plus, I've always liked the fact that the Mk1 Freelander looks like the b*st*rd offspring of a Defender and a Jaguar/Sovereign.
My Dad also got a Freelander last year, a year newer than mine, and in proper green. No heated leather seats.... or propshaft tho'.
Few odd jobs to do on mine, maybe a couple of hundred yo-yos of parts needed. Still, armed with a Haynes manual and this forum, hopefully I'll make light work of it.
