I just bought a 1999 Disco Td5 and as it had some vibration in the drive train I sent it to have all the fluids replaced and auto- box serviced and also had a new drive belt and tensioner fitted. the engine was running smoothly before but now the crankshaft damper is noisy and the Aircon compressed is screaming! What's that all about?

Go to Land Rover dealer.

Buy LR branded aux belt

Fit it

Squeal should go

As above - genuine belt needed. The reason is the cheaper ones have a smooth back and slip. Genuine ones have a rough surface to grip the non-groved pullies.
