hoping 4 some help .. just bought a disco 3.9 v8 and it has a few issues i need to get sorted ... when started from cold it starts first time no problem ticks over nice and revs if u give it a boot full but if u just tickle the throttle it dies and then struggles to start again but once warm seems ok it also takes its time to return to idle when u stop but when it does its sweet any ideas would b appreciated cheers tel :confused:
 
Could be a sticking stepper motor, it just requires removing cleaning with brack cleaner, or the same with the crankcase breather, could be a blocked air filter, just a simple engine service may clear the problem.
 
cheers discool have done a full service but no joy and lookin at stepper motor looks new but will take it of and clean anyway but thanks
 
Im investigating a similar problem on my 3.5 V8, looking at air flow meter at the moment, might be worth you looking at that, a simple clean out with something like carb cleaner might do the trick for yours?
 
try changing the LPG filter (between the tanks and the vaporiser) failing that, depending on the system, change the vaporiser (try tinleytech.co.uk) sorted mine that way.
