After having a Hippo (Gaylander as it has been known on the odd occasion) for 5yrs I traded it in for another car (Mini Countryman) - then traded that in for another car (C-Class Estate) and then traded that in for another car (Rav-4)!!!! See where I'm going.....!!!
Well, I've been wanting a Disco for quite a few years and finally decided to follow my heart and take the plunge.
I've managed to my hands on an '04 Landmark TD5 with 60k on the clock - now....time to start 'modding' it a bit....
It came with the 18" rims and I'm finding it very jumpy, even over white lines!! I do get sterring wobble around 45-50mph, but hopefully this will be sorted out next week after I take it back to the place I bought it!!!
I know it's going to be a lot more 'fluid' over the road than most cars, but would down sizing to 16" rims make it feel a bit more planted? As it's coming up to winter, and the Daily Express are predicting snowmageddon (again), I'd like to put some AT tyres on - I had a set of Grabber AT2s on the Hippo and seemed to work ok....so any suggestions are most welcome!!!
So, converted from a Hippo to a Disco and at the moment enjoying the ride!!!!
