Just looking to buy a new Defender 90. Test drove one today. Can anyone help me before I possibly purchase one? Perfectly ok in a TD5.

1. It seems to be electronically restricted at about 85 mph, or 3000 rpm in top gear? Can this be fixed?

2. If you are over 6ft, with the new land rover dash, your legs hit the dash. Is there any way you can put the drivers seat back further? Or purchase a seat extender?

Appreciate your help

amputation of lower limbs, welcome to the loony zone, wouldnt waste my money on a new one but hey everyone to their own

you can have the speed limiter removed easly enough, if you want more room buy a 110 or take the bulkhead out of the 90 and put a bulkhead removal bar in instead

I'm a lanky bastid too.
I've fitted a set of MUD seat rails and a 15" steering wheel to mine and it's fine.
If you wanna go over 85 in a Fender, yer need yer head examined.

Thanks for the advice.

Gave in to the "new" Defender idea. God knows why Land Rover have altered the dash to stop over 6 footers fitting in. Guess the current EU farmer must be smaller than several years ago?

Didn't want a Disco. Didn't want a green one!

Bloody bought a green disco, 2002. Guess I must be getting old? Or sensible?

Nice car. Does what i need it to do, in comfort:doh:

Oh well, back to my pipe and slippers
