Hi

New to this site so thought i'd share my buying experience of my LR2.

I was after a disco 2 for awhile, had some cash spare so thought i'd go for the V8 version as they are cheaper compared to the TD5 and overall usage will probably be less than 1500 per annum, I paid £2850 for my LR2 which I think is a fair price as it's in great condition top and bottom ;).

Anyway, the car had a new compressor fitted for the ACE and water pump. Now i've had it about 6 weeks and only driven 5 miles in it, I thought i'd test the ACE as I wanted to see what the handling was like, after a few "swervy" left and rights the ACE lit up in red, so stopped, turned of ignition and restarted with no lights and no other warnings, i'm wandering it whether the system needs to be calibrated ?

Also, as it is not used often I just fire it up to let it know i'm still around ;) and get the occasional S and M gearbox flashes, but again turn it off and the error disappears, perhaps a gearbox flush is in order or do you think its because it's sitting around doing nothing ?

Finally, had a look under the front end and there is oil on the sump, so traced it back to rocker cover leakage (suspected) is this a plenum off jobby? i've got the RAVE workshop manual, but it's brief and doesn't go into detail? Oh and finally, got some "creaking" noises whilst going through some pot holes, considering anti roll bar ??
